Once more, it’s that time of year. Amazon once more announced the Prime members-only annual sales event. On Tuesday, July 11, at 3 a.m. EST / 12 a.m. PT, Amazon Prime Day officially begins and continues through Wednesday, July 12.
Prime Day offers some of the best deals on a variety of products if you can’t wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That is, of course, assuming that Amazon does not again surprise us with a “Prime Early Access Sale,” also known as Prime Day 2.0, as it did in the early fall of last year.
One thing is almost certain based on previous trends: We do not yet know everything that will be on sale. Amazon devices are most likely to receive the best discounts. Amazon’s smart displays and streaming devices have historically been sold at some of their lowest prices ever. That includes Ring and Blink products, which are owned by Amazon. The Ring Video Doorbell 2 and the most recent Echo Dot are also eligible.
Similar to last year, early deals officially begin weeks before the actual event. Starting this week, Echo speakers, Eero mesh Wi-Fi routers, and other Alexa-enabled devices can save up to 55%. In addition, Amazon claims that during the event’s 48 hours, it will offer discounts on select services, such as Prime Video and Amazon Music Unlimited, as well as invite-only deals that enable Prime members to pre-register for deals that are expected to sell out.
However, the two-day sale does not just focus on Amazon services and products. The event is one of the best times of the year to save money on other kinds of electronics, like laptops, wireless earbuds, charging accessories, robot vacuums, and 4K televisions. Amazon says the deal will feature the “least costs up to this point this year” on select items from Bose, Theragun, and a large group of other deeply grounded brands. Aside from that, tabletop games, household goods, toys, beauty products, and pretty much everything else under the sun frequently feature a plethora of deals.
