The Eras Tour of Taylor Swift will perform at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis on Friday and Saturday nights at 6:30 p.m. MINNEAPOLIS — The city of Minneapolis is getting ready for Operation Swift Summer as hundreds of thousands of people get ready to head downtown this weekend.
Commissioner Cedric Alexander stated, “From Taylor Swift to the Pride Festival, of course, we’re expecting hundreds of thousands of people to come into the city this weekend.”
For the busy weekend, the city, according to Commissioner Alexander, is working with numerous partners and agencies.
He stated, “Law enforcement is only one piece of this puzzle.” Our 911 operators will be fully staffed, and firefighters and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) will be crucial first responders in the event of health issues. Portable units have likewise been placed on alert.”
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, the Eras Tour will perform two shows at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis. The 51st Annual Twin Cities Pride Festival will also take place over three days, from Friday to Sunday.
Mayor Jacob Frey stated, “We want them to go out and share the good message when you have a million people coming to our city.”
