The weekend is almost over, and the three-day sale at Best Buy is coming to an end with some great laptop deals. There is something for everyone, so let’s get started with the HP Chromebook, which is a great budget option, and the more expensive MacBook Pro.
A Chromebook is a great option for basic computing at a reasonable price, and the HP Chromebook 14 is well-built and should satisfy most users. While the Intel Celeron N4120 and 4GB of Slam aren’t that strong, it’s sufficient to get ChromeOS to run generally very much contrasted with Windows 11. That means you can finish most, if not all, of your work and use the 14-inch HD screen to watch movies and shows in your spare time. It has 64 GB of storage, which is understandable considering that Chromebooks are primarily designed for streaming all of your content. It is, overall, one of the best deals on Chromebooks this weekend.
Even though this HP laptop does not rank among the best 14-inch laptops, it is an excellent alternative to a Chromebook if you prefer to use Windows. It has the same Intel Celeron N4120 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage space as the Chromebook version. This laptop is using Windows 11 in S mode, which is essentially a low-resource version of Windows with some features removed to simplify it. Fortunately, it has a battery life of approximately 11 hours, making it portable and convenient for use anywhere.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 is a great option if you want a device with ultrathin design, high specs, and portability to go anywhere. Under the hood, you get the Intel i5 Evo Platform, which is much more powerful and designed specifically for Surface laptops. It can easily handle your day-to-day needs and productivity. The 8 GB version is also much more affordable, allowing you to enjoy the full Windows experience without having to run Windows 11 in S mode. Naturally, the touchscreen, which measures 13.5 inches and has a resolution of 2256 x 1504, is the best feature.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is probably one of the best deals on a gaming laptop when it comes to specs and overall design. Gaming laptops have come a long way in recent years. The RTX 3060 in this M16 model is a relatively powerful GPU that lets you play most games, even AAA titles, at 60-100 frames per second on relatively high graphical settings. The fact that the screen runs at FHD resolutions makes it less taxing on the GPU and more likely to allow you to reach the maximum 165 Hz if you’re willing to sacrifice some graphical quality. In terms of the CPU, you get the powerful 12th generation Intel i7-12700H, which will make it easy to complete all of your productivity and gaming tasks. Additionally, you get 16GB of DDR5 RAM, which will make it easy to complete your day-to-day tasks.
We were pleased to see this great deal on the 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro because we rarely see deals on Apple products. Even though the unit we reviewed had the M2 Max chip, this one with the M2 Pro is still very powerful. You won’t be surprised to learn that you can complete the majority of editing and productivity tasks with the M2, Apple’s most recent chip and one of the most powerful on the market. As is always the case with Apple products, the screen is excellent and has a resolution of 3024 x 1964, making it ideal for editing and watching content. Even though the 16GB of RAM is great, if you think you need more, you can upgrade it before you check out. In terms of battery life, it is probably one of the best available, lasting up to 24 hours, depending on how much you use it.
